spending a lifetime in the arms of my home

The flick of a grin

Eyes wide with joyful hysterics

dancing in their arms

Has life ever felt so good?

The clock's hands cover my eyes

Skin aged, bones frayed

But still their arms are honey

Sweet and warm

I blink and now it is cold

My legs are jelly, my eyes are old

Stiff as I am, I still see

The flicker of their grin

Eyes wide, hysterical

Laying in their arms,

Has death every felt so good?
