Home but a Moment

Home but a Moment

Sitting on the porch,

we allowed the gentle warmth of the sun to kiss our skin.

A soft breeze blew, dancing in our hair,

creating its own melody in the wind chimes and the rustling of leaves.

A calming ecstasy not known to time,

swept over us as we lost ourselves in the bliss of the moment.

For that moment, we were lost to the world.

The faint glow of the setting sun reminding us of the cold stillness that night brings.

In that moment, lost to the world,

we found a peace only home could give.

No matter the world,

No matter the times,

We had that moment,

We had home.
