A free verse poem about the beginning of my spiritual journey

Home

not a filthy lair

to bring back

all the dirt I carried

with me, for seven years.

A touch of comfort

and simplicity

is felt inside of me,

those sacred, gentle spots

I’ve searched for

on my human body map.

✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

Home

not a destination

to drop all of my junk,

acting like it’s a place

of no real value.

🏑🏑🏑🏑🏑

I pour out

all the tainted liquid I’ve kept

and refill my drinking bottle

with love juice,

kindness milk,

and tranquility water.

πŸ’¦ πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦πŸ’¦

Home

a sacred, personalized temple

to seek divine assistance

to wash away all my troubles

and freshen up

with positive vibes spray.
