Holding Onto Memories
Of Distant Lovers Last
Holding on to memories
Of jilted lovers last...
We must let go of their demons
Lurking from the past...
Until we lose the bastard’s baggage
Living rent free in our mind...
Until we cleanse our angry thoughts
A new relationship we’ll never find...
Holding on to memories
For jilted lovers lost...
We must let go of their demons
Put future happiness at a cost...
When sadness comes to visit me
It often has your face...
No matter how hard I try to find
Our happiness, there is no trace...
Holding on to memories
Until the morning dawn...
We must let go of our demons
Before our love for each other is gone...
If we can’t find trust between each other
And our insecurities become the rule...
I’m no longer interested in seeing you
Because I refuse to play the fool...
