history

with you

By angela hepworthPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

when did it all become history to you?

because I don’t quite know

when it happened for me

when did the time pass us by

and leave us breathless and lonely,

with nothing and no one to grasp?

when did your hand, large and firm,

become the only one I could hold?

when did we become inseparable,

and decide we were only good enough

for each other?

when did our fingers intertwine

and never let go?

when did we start to share the same eyes,

the same vision, the same callous view

of this world around us?

when did friends become enemies;

when did enemies become unimportant?

when did people turn into voids

of space, taking up all the room?

where did hope go?

where is love?

when did we become

unable to see it?
