His Presence
A poem about feeling the presence of God
Everyone suddenly praised his name
And was filled with sudden delight
In that moment, we were one and the same
And the world felt just right
Everyone's hearts were beautifully shifted
When our hearts were genuine and pure
The spirit of God was felt and lifted
While darken souls were turned pure
I felt his presence when I called out his name
In the silence of my head
It was only a feeling, just the same
But I felt the words he said
We had a moment, you and I
I won't stress about the how's or why's
"I live in the faith that there is a presence and power greater than I am that nurtures and supports me in ways I could not even imagine. I know that this presence is all knowing and all power and is always right where I am."
