His many faces
"Why?" - ever a forbidden question. And yet I cannot help myself.

In the realm of politics, women unseen,
Yet in our conversations, you listen keen.
Love and words, a pleasing facade,
But when you’re at work, a different charade.
Prestige and strength, your guiding light,
While pressing down on those that slight
The woman broken, you happily discard,
Her love for you, a sentiment marred.
Ugly and weak, she will be deemed,
While I am beautiful, in strength esteemed.
But what when weakness falls on me,
Or beauty fades, what will you see?
You are no angel, a truth unveiled,
No heavenly grace, your actions detailed.
Harm inflicted, no remorse in sight,
Bragging shadows the supposed contrite.
A former bully, with no remorse,
Sadness feigned, a deceptive course.
“Unaliving” deemed not as murder,
In your world, a twisted fervor.
Constant lies, a tangled web,
So many personas, a maze to ebb.
"Who are you today?" ceases to jest,
A fractured identity, put to the test.
Buttons pushed until tears cascade,
A sacred deal, in falsehood laid.
Once deemed holy, a vow betrayed,
Lies unravel, in truth's cascade.
