His Dirty Little Secret

Shhh

By Charlee Ann MckayPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read
innocence lost

Shhh who will believe you?

He takes his hands and fills it with my innocence.

I feel it rip from my body. The blood from my soul drips down.

His lips suck my innocence away, like its what fuels his life.

I feel myself fading from light. I constantly scream on the inside.

He repeats his attacks and others copy his actions.

I swallow the pills to numb and forget the pain.

I will never be the same. Silence is where I hide.

Years pass and the attacks finally stop, all that is left is pieces.

The silence finally breaks, The reactions hurt just as bad as the attacks.

They people I confide in brush it off like it never happened.

The pieces that were left burst into flames. I am slowly being reborn.

From the ashes I will rise, but the scars will remain.

I did survive.
