Your boots trampled me
But my boots have sharp high heels
Made for destruction
Author’s Note: Welcome to day fifteen on my path along the fifty-day song/lyric-based senryū challenge! Today’s poem is based on “These Boots are Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra, which you can listen to below. Even though the original song is about kicking a cheating guy to the curb, I feel that it can also be uplifting when the world in general has you down. I hope you enjoy it and my poem!
