There has always been something different about me
Ever since I was little I would feel sad or numb during happy times
Keeping to myself became a sport that I always excelled at
No one paid attention and no one thought to ask what's wrong
Life went on and so did the rapid fire of negative emotions
Life became harder and harsher to me and I felt lost
It took years to realize I had the kind of mind that was toxic
A mind that could make the toughest person weep if they had it
Today I openly vocalize my feelings but not always
No one listens to me even now so talking is pointless
When you hide things for so long you start to change
You are no longer just a person who lives like the rest
All you are is your illness
