Hiatus

A return to poetry.

The longer I sit in the in between,

The further away the truth lives.

Avoidance became the easy way out,

Making the in between safe

Making the in between warm

Making the in between lifeless.

Watching the wilt from afar,

Though it was right inside me.

Viewing the world through a window,

Though I weave through the streets.

The hiatus must be broken,

In order for the world to return green.

Not with envy but with growth.

A regeneration.

If turning a new leaf

Equals staring at a blank page,

May the pen feel lighter

And the tunnel of the in-between brighter.
