Trigger Warning: [Drug] Addiction

I never liked the way you got under my skin

My skin itched with withdrawal

I knew I needed a fix

My dark sent you running

to me

Surrendering without kneeling

Begging without words

Wanting without needing

I shot up as my hand wrapped around your throat

Pleasure washed through me as you moaned

I broke you, but you begged me for it

I took too much—I still hate myself for it

But I couldn’t help it

I just needwantneed, need, need more of you

I wanted that high, craved that pleasure

That sigh of surrender from your sweet, sweet,

intoxicating lips

I swirled down the drain

Of addiction

Just as soon as it started

I ran out of supply

The high became infrequent and too variable

Still in withdrawal,

I shake with the need

Never going to recover

not from something

I wanted forever.
