A poem of home and your inner hero

I have struggled before an open door, trying to understand my place. I have stared at the mirror and not understood the look upon my face.

What it means to have a home is greater when you leave, because a hero must have his place to come back to, don’t you see?

I think we get confused, that home is a place we stay but how can we call home, a home, if we never left its place?

We could all be heroes, living in this time, but to be a hero without a home, well, that just won't fit this rhyme.

We need to leave to discover the home we never knew we had, home, was never a place for fear, living in our past.

I don’t ever think of my life better when I’m here, unless I’ve left, to discover a home much better, a hero must leave to do his quest.

And when we decide to leave the comfort of our safest place, a hero must be tested to confront this very case.

Because only then, when we decide to leave the comfort of our own home, do we walk through that door, discovering the great unknown.

A hero, is only a hero, when he decides to leave. Home is only, home, if you come back from that great leap.

Home is not the place where we should sit around and weep, let us all rise up from our seats.

Don’t, let your home become the place where your hero meets his greatest, defeat.
