Here still

Silence Acrostic

By Nicholaus BrownleePublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Sitting in the room alone, waiting for you to come home,

I sit holding my pillow, damp from my tears that billow.

Listening for your entrance here, for you to say "I'm home my dear!"

Exclaiming your arrival, my heart would have revival!

Never have I longed for such words, like a song that I once heard.

Can't I hear your voice again? Can't I have my friend again?

Except I never will, for I'm here still.
