Here Comes the Bride

Dearly beloveds we are gathered here today to commit this woman into the second hospital of her day.

This is not to be taken lightly

As the scars on her arms and legs will never fade

And the things she has witnessed will never be erased.

We've come together to say:

You cannot kill yourself

We would miss you

We love you

Think of your family

Your friends

And not of yourself,

What you want and think is best.

Who may control yourself and your life

Certainly not you, child.

How could you possibly know whats best

You can't

You're too young

You're ill.

Do you know

6% of adults in the United States

Take these prescriptions

From side effects to stigma

Endless new pills to serotonin syndrome

In sickness and in mental health

Until death

Do we part

sad poetry
