Her Favorite Place

A Poem of Hurt

By Antique GothiquePublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Her favorite place

Was one so soft, yet gray

Her favorite place could converse of her story with the wind by the sea,

Her favorite place was so familiar and forgiving..

Unlike her other place.

Her other place, leaving her with bruises and ribcage cuts,

Flower petal skin ripped to oblivion

The empty shell she wore of her name showed in her very eyes

Her favorite place, she wished to drown in, and that she did.

Much like Ophelia, with flowers in hand

Like mermaid fins her dress spread,

Her hair dispersed into mixing shades,

Her stone heart pulled her down

Airless darkness, taking her away,

To her favorite place,

Forever more.
