I was bawling my eyes out.
Sobbing.
You had the patience,
And all the right words.
Those late-night calls,
Your voice took me out of my head.
Reminding me that it’s going to be okay,
Even though it felt like the end of the world.
Words can’t even begin to explain,
How much I love you,
Appreciate you,
And care about you.
Your consistency,
Your love,
Your kindness,
Is more than I could handle.
How can I make it up to you?
All time you spent,
Listening to my pained cries,
Over something so silly.
I’m sorry,
You shouldn’t have had to put up with me.
After all, we were just kids.
So please accept my apology.
You are the best friend I could ever ask for,
My damn sister.
