To be romantically masculine
Like Hemingway chasing the fight
Keeping death always at arm's length
Chasing love, tragically masculine
Like heartache is the goal
Where “ever after” is at arm's length
The “Death Wish” is the tragic flaw
On mountain, bed, or battle field
Never risking all or fully engaged
Teasing and flirting with oblivion
On the edge where life begins
Where the internal void finds creation
Lusting for life but never fully living
The violence all for show
A hollow lonely pageant
You are a famous man
Or infamous maybe
Whatever, you really killed it
About the Creator
