Hello to Autumn
Dry and crispy are the crunching leafs falling under feet

Hello to Autumn
The leaf steps out, his boots are strong.
The path is red, the trees are gold.
He lifts a cup, the steam drifts high.
The forest sighs, and welcomes him.
The air is cool, the ground is soft.
The birds fly low, their wings are sharp.
The sky is pale, the day is kind.
The leaf walks on, and does not fade.
The branches bend, their voices call.
The sun leans down, with weary fire.
The streams run slow, the stones grow cold.
The leaf still lifts, his cup of warmth.
Children shout, in fields of flame.
Their hands are full, with brittle crowns.
Their laughter rings, their boots kick deep.
The leaf looks on, and nods with pride.
By night the wind will claim the fields.
It shakes the walls, it claws the doors.
But still the leaf, will stand and smile.
And drink the dark, as autumn comes
