In hues of gold and red they dance,
Leaves falling in an autumn trance.
A breathtaking sight, they gently glide,
Drifting down from trees so wide.
With every breeze, they take flight,
Through crisp, cool air, so light.
Their journey down to earth so grand,
Creating beauty across the land.
Softly landing on the ground,
Creating a carpet, orange and brown.
Crunching underfoot as we walk,
The sound of fall, the leaves do talk.
As autumn strips the branches bare,
A feeling of change hangs in the air.
Nature's way of letting go,
Preparing for winter's icy blow.
The falling leaves create a scene,
A painted picture, serene.
They remind us of life's fleeting grace,
Of seasons changing, a constant chase.
So let us revel in their fall,
Embrace the beauty, one and all.
For the leaves in autumn, oh so dear,
Bring us closer to nature's spirit, clear.
