Haydn's Sonata in D. They specifically requested Sonata in D to commemorate 250 years since its creation.

Great!

Three glorious movements.

I've had that one memorized since high school.

"Did you know Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the ABC song have the same melody?"

"Yes, Mom, you told me before."

"Did you know Mozart wrote it when he was nine?"

"No. Hey! I'll be nine soon."

"Play the theme and variation again, Becky. Then you can play what you want for 10 minutes."

I love hearing Mommy and Daddy play together.

I'm going to play pretty music someday,

Just like them.

"Hey, sleepy headed little one! Time for bed."

"Just 10 more minutes?"

*

"They're ready for you, Miss Rebecca."

"Thank you. Do you like music, young lady?"

"Oh, yes! Someday, I'm going to be a musician.

Just like you."

"I bet you will."

This is the first movement of Haydn’s Sonata in D. Unlike Rebecca in my poem, I am not a concert pianist, and I don’t have this memorized. Also, it’s my last 1/2 day of school, and I should be cleaning my school room. 😜 I gave it one run through, and this is the best I could do with the time I had.
