Heart of stone

Unyielding mountain

Hardened boulder, steadfast rock, heart of calloused stone,

Your love once pure has been defiled and rotted to the bone,

Where once gracious words were gifted, an uplifted voice to bless,

Now anger comes as a merciless sword to cause such great distress,

Proud warrior, mighty fighter, unyielding in your course,

You run and trample down upon the needy without the slightest remorse,

You curry favor with thieves, you steal and loot in the darkest night,

With vengeance on your very mind, you pursue this reckless fight!

A sword, a sword, a sword to claim your desire,

You destroy all of what was worthwhile and burn the rest in the fire!

Your love was the greatest blessing as waters renew despite pain so deep,

Casting aside what you had before while children mourn and widows weep,

Hardened boulder, steadfast rock, heart of calloused stone,

Your actions cannot be justified, your deeds we cannot condone,

The pain you have caused our beating hearts, the toil and anxious strife,

We fight with all our strength against you, we fight for our right to life!
