When a new love is found,
Weightless you will feel.
Soaring high above ground;
Every day seems to thrill.
The sun will shine brighter.
Heavy souls were grave, lightened.
All food will taste better.
With wings you'll fly, heightened.
Upon sudden notice,
Or at least seems to be,
The golden sun turns grey;
New lines begin to fray.
Connection falls astray;
Silence creeps, takes over.
The heart then learns dismay;
Sweetness morphs to bitter.
Bitterness turns to hate,
Finally ending, fear.
Fear in the certain fate,
Of the finale, near.
Darkness falls, love is done,
Wings of flight burned with fire;
Love once warmed by the sun,
Crashed and burned with desire.
How does life then move on;
Where does one search for grace?
What now can you call home;
Void of second chances?
Search your soul to find hope;
Again love will surface.
From within search your scope,
Peering through the lattice.
Answers sought but not found,
So easily are worth.
The envy of the crowned,
Given to them by birth.
One day the sun will shine
Upon your face again.
Stars once more will align;
You'll never be the same.
The freedom that you seek
To rid your soul of pain.
Will bring you to your knees
And cause you to refrain.
Liberty awaits you
At the end of the way.
A peace known to a few
There you'll sleep, silently.
