Heal

And Move On

By Ruth Elizabeth StiffPublished 4 months ago 1 min read
Rest

“Healing

doesn’t mean the damage never existed.

It means

the damage no longer controls your life.”

On our journey in life,

we go through experiences

which leave a scar or a life-long mark,

either physically or mentally or both.

Heal and move on.

Whilst acknowledging

the experience and the ‘lesson’

we have learnt from it,

healing releases

the ‘control’ the experience had on us.

Heal and move on.

Healing shows us

that any ‘damage’ that was done,

no longer has any hold on us.

Heal and move on.

Healing ‘changes’ damage

into that opportunity

to get a firmer hold on life.

Heal and move on.

We need to allow “healing” to say:

“I am not what happened to me,

I am what I choose to become.”

Heal and move on.

It can be said

that healing

is about learning and moving on.

We must make time for this.

Heal and move on.
