Head in the Clouds

Peace in the mind, Head in the skies

What is so wrong with my head in the clouds

These thoughts sound out loud

Not common in the crowd

I'd like to believe I have a higher form of thinking

Imagining endless scenarios when my eyes start blinking

Don't need all these mindless addictions

When people say "Be real" I say "I'd rather be fiction"

Because only in fiction can your thoughts flow freely

Driving off a mountain and end up doing a wheelie

Haven't you wondered and thought what it's like

To be at the top of the world at the end of a hike

To be up there feeling free

In all the mountain's majesty

Reaching up to touch the skies

Hearing only truth with no room for all the lies

Then lifting up, High above the peaks

So much peace to be had, given to those who seek

So when the real world is full of pain and suffering

When the promises of peace seem like they are buffering

When the weight of all the world's issues

Keep stacking due to misuse

Of power and of fame

Influence and aims

Just know that there's relief

Beyond the false beliefs

Questions that can be satisfied

Answers that are magnified

And all you have to do is

Remember we all go through this

Show compassion, be considerate

We're all different, don't be ignorant

So when everything gets too loud

Don't listen to the crowd

Put your head up in the clouds

And enjoy the peace that abounds
