I want to close the casket

I want to close the door

Hide from the war that is my mind

The battle waging inside of me

Is anything ever going to change?

I’m not going to beg to be loved.

Fight for me

Isn’t it a little too late

To save me from the Hell I live in.

Hate me

I can do that all my own

Love me

Am I worth the lies you spread?

~

Grab the matches

Strike the match head against skin

Watch the flame explode and come to life

I’m not going to beg you for peace anymore

I cut your face from the pictures,

Tossed the box of letters into the brush pile

And set that bitch a blaze

~

Darkness has settled somewhere deep inside

You thought you could break me

I thought you would love me

That you’d save me from the monsters lingering just outside the door

But I refuse to beg you

I refuse to bend to your will

Hate me

Love me

Break me

You’ll never Save me from Hell

~

I’m sick of being used

Sick of being abused

Sick of the fakeness

I’ve been writing

Pouring my soul out

With black ink

That bleeds through the pages

And stains your skin

~

But nothing will be the same

Not so long as I live with these demons

Every day I’m dragging my soul through the haze

It’s a battle everyday

A struggle to stay sane

To not embrace the monster within

Come sit with me awhile. Writing is my favorite kind of magic—conjuring dark worlds, forbidden souls, and stories that haunt long after the last page. Lately, I’ve wandered deeper into psychology, the mind, and the shadows within us all...
