Happy, carefree, and gloriously unserious
Anaphora and Satire - Say it again
Anaphora Poem —
“Because I’m Young” (Satirical & Carefree)
Because I’m young,
the sun happily rises just to impress me,
and I accept its devotion without signing any paperwork.
```
Because I’m young,
every inconvenience is a quirky plot twist,
and not, as adults insist, “a sign of poor planning.”
```
Because I’m young,
I believe joy-filled freedom is my birthright,
like Wi‑Fi or snacks that magically appear when I’m hungry.
```
Because I’m young,
I run toward the future with both shoes untied,
confident gravity will respect my enthusiasm.
```
Because I’m young,
I laugh too loudly at jokes that aren’t funny,
and somehow that makes them funny anyway.
```
Because I’m young,
I trust the world to catch me,
mostly because I haven’t yet read the fine print.
```
Because I’m young,
I treat hope like a coupon that never expires,
and hand it out to everyone like I own the store.
```
Because I’m young,
I live as if the universe is rooting for me,
and honestly, it’s easier to believe that than not.
```
I may not be as young now as I once was
For I see the clouds gathering,
Laughing at my loss of Na·ive·té,
lack of experience, wisdom, and judgment:
```
Because I'm young....
Sigh! Not so much anymore.
