An opportunity to make a fresh start
The clock strikes 12AM
Just like any other day.
But once in 365,
It’s a new year.
You don’t wake up
A different person.
Your life doesn’t change
Because the year did.
These things change
When you do.
A new year is a clear
Juxtaposition between
The permanent past and
The possible future.
The future that is not yet
And hence becomes a possibility.
A year of your life of years
You don’t know how many.
May this year be one
Where you mold your destiny
With your own hands gently,
With intellect and intuition.
