¨If devotion leads to sacrifice

And sacrifice leads to death,

You should spend life devoting yourself

To something you're willing to die for¨ -Conlan Nielsen 2022

Through the eyes of a pessimist

Happiness is the lack of sadness

An emotion conjured through the emptiness

Of an emotion felt through a pessimist

Untangling the threads of pessimism

I see the logic of existence through surrealism

It brings me happiness

To be lost in worlds of surrealness

Though forced

And dragged through a world of realists

It brings out the absolute worst in me

The pessimist

To wade and wallow through the true pessimist

To understand reality´s existence

I believe would bring me happiness

Each time I try, my emotions may dry

But id rather bathe in happiness

Understanding existence

Than wallow in sadness

As a pessimist
