Happiness can be measured in many different ways,

And although your goals are changing throughout your finite days

You have to be certain, no matter what anyone says,

What true happiness is and where true happiness lays.

Maybe it's the sunshine – that warm glow on your face.

Perhaps it's being right and putting others in their place.

It could be competing in, and winning, a race.

Or simply just existing and taking life at its own pace.

But every now and then, when life becomes a bind.

When things don't work out as you'd hope, you'll find

That happiness is fleeting and never one to mind

Just how you are feeling when it's left you behind.
