Darkness falls across the sky,

Witches on their broomsticks fly.

As you lie awake at night,

Full moon shining very bright.

An eerie wind howl through the trees,

Curtains swaying in the breeze.

Creatures creeping out of sight,

Vampires look for their first bite.

In the distance a fire glows,

As Witches cast their spells of woe.

Bats circle through the air,

Is Dracula around out there?

Far too scared to go to sleep,

Ghostly children quietly weep.

Under the covers of your bed,

Are these sounds all in your head?

Ghostly shadows cross the room,

Witches cackle on their broom.

Ghoulish noises cause a fright,

As things go bump all through the night.

This is fantastic - i love the kind of galloping rhythm you have going on, and the imagery is so clear! I know you wrote this a while ago, but I'd still love to add it to the poems highlighted in my challenge post; would that be ok with you?
