Halliwell Village

the little town of autumn

Road hidden by trees,
the leaves of crimson lead on;
a small town revealed.

A pleasant aura,
breathing life to autumn air;
peace is welcome here.

Leaves coating the ground,
the streetlamps illuminate;
warmth is all around.

Weathered wood and brick,
cozy homes stand in a line;
crowded, yet alone.

Sea of dead flora,
carmine, maroon, amber hue;
it blankets the ground.

The cinnamon smell,
nostalgic memories bare;
floating in the breeze.

Down the road a piece,
towering castle of ink;
eerie, creepy sight.

Peace is not alone,
terror, hate, and more exist;
a town of all things.

Further down, you see
heavy mist, witches laughing;
the dark side of town.

Past the haunted house,
dark, tall trees hide a long path;
what lurks in the woods?

A bonfire roars,
orange, blue, green, white sparks fly;
night becomes lovely.

No one is around,
yet the heat is embracing;
strange but comforting.

Take a breath and stay,
in a town of joy, horror;
Halliwell Village.
