Half and Half

Coffee break

Too easy

Begins with a hesitant gesture

Foolish enough to stand unnoticed

As confidence grow, so is the built up

Of half formed words

Dulled with a tint of venom

Words pouring like oil

Half and half until milk covers the coffee

Making it as clueless if possible

Pretty soon, a new song emerge

The tune more catching

Against the helpless tirades of the victims

The coffee has been painted white

The milk became tastier

Half truths, half lies

Intentions forgotten

It’s the sensation that matters

Realization is inevitable of course

It lurks somewhere nearby

Where a prey can smell its hunter

It comes like a thief in the night

The faster you run, the harder it gets to you

When alas you’re caught, you are trapped

Take a bow and accept it

No easy way ‘round to it

No way out except the way you come in

Tell the story again

Stick to the facts this time.
