Haiku

From My Upcoming Collection “Jubilate in Despair”

By Terry JamesPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

My hard working hands

Cutting and grinding at work

Now ones on the ground.

————————-

Quiet is golden,

No one can judge your silence,

But only ponder.

—————————

I will disappear,

A shadow no light will cast,

Forgotten in time.

—————————-

Lying alone now,

Pondering frequent mistakes,

Past, present, future.

—————————-

Inhaling deeply,

The long road ahead narrow,

Crooked and wicked.

—————————-

A constant battle,

Self against self with no end,

Ever conflicted.

—————————-

Always do my best,

Falling short nearly always,

Hopelessness prevails.
