Wholesome seeds planted in dusky soil,
Nature will reflect their inner turmoil.
Some grow to be flowers which bloom every day,
Then their lives are arranged into a bright bouquet.
Others mature in the wild—
Soft vivid tones embrace their inner child.
A few develop into trees,
And settle with the gentle breeze.
I am a dreamy silver birch,
Inside my treetop birds of paradise perch—
Their swirls of colour create Impressionist paintings
Of people, nature, the world, experiences.
Frequently they chirrup the lyrics, lines, and plots.
Then I stretch out my branches—
Reaching for my chances.
