Adopted family members
sit in a small circle
inside the silver-splashes gazebo.
Every evening,
we visit G-d’s art gallery
of plants, animals, humans and buildings.
Like having a family meeting,
we host sessions
of no-cost group therapy.
Residing in an adult sorority house
provides us with lots
of questions and comments
to spit out from our chests.
We don’t let go
of our hands.
We hold them
tightly and firmly.
We embrace,
we validate,
we accept
and we open doors
to each other’s lands.
We giggle,
we smile,
we learn,
we grow
and we imbue.
We scream,
we weep,
we complain,
we grieve
and we vent.
