Grey Skies, Grey Faces, Grey Matter
by Mario Hammon

Late Sunday afternoon
Skies grey, curiously gloom
Grey faces surrounded by
Mirror skies of impending doom
Depression certainly consumes
The human mind so obtuse
As dark thoughts rudely intrude
Grey matter becomes infused
Desires remain refused
Due to neglect of pure intention
Purity is the suggestion
Motivation in question
Make inquiry of the direction
Validation flagrantly evident
Consumerism is the issue
Purple, orange and green notes of royalty
Royally misused
Grey area a curse
White or black I do prefer
