Grey

Our true color

By Ali HachemPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Envisioning a Kaleidoscopic reality

I sought serenity in the colors others could not

Blinding vibrant hues paralyze my vision

Entering a new reality

Another dimension

Grey

a shade neither bright nor dull

a shade preconceived not right, not wrong

a shade so vacant yet so complete

a shade so perfectly balanced

I am grey

a descendant of two antithetical shades of light

Envisioning a Kaleidoscopic reality

I only see grey

That’s when I realized

the beauty of such reality can only be possessed

by those capable of disregarding their visual perception of light

by those capable of loving every color equally

by those capable of harmonizing their angels with their demons

Grey, an imperfect perfection

Grey, our true color

But not our only.
