Greetings, Weary Time-traveler!

A Poem

Greetings, weary time-traveler!

Hello there, from the past;

You've traversed many moments

since this pen touched paper last.

*

Yes you've traversed many moments,

though you've just begun this road;

so rest easy now, take a breath,

take it slow, lay down your load.

*

For every second's a journey;

the next, that journey's end!

And each part of the greater path

that you are on, my friend.

*

Both journey and destination,

present every single minute;

Before and behind, beneath and beside,

paradoxically within it!

*

You have been a traveler

since the hour you were born;

you've sailed on many a midnight,

and crested many a morn.

*

Yes, you've traversed many moments,

and you've many more to go,

so rest easy now, lay down your load!

Take a breath, and take it slow.

*

And remember:

On every journey you've been through,

And on each through which you'll go,

You've never been, and will never be,

unloved or all alone.
