Greenery

True colors

By Clara JenningsPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

You planted seeds

Books read to me

The words were buds

That blossomed free

Ferns in my mind

Ivy flowing veins

Sprouting from fingers

Only green remains

I nurture saplings with my prose

Every letter a new leaf

Forest of my own creation

Dazzling emerald disbelief

My stories become trees

Limbs defy gravity

Foliage intertwines

In a jade canopy

Vines of imagination

Will ensnare me

Until I become one with

The greenery
