Greater Than

December 4th, 2012

Off center

And moving further out

Until it is all off balance

No longer stable

Not a quiet scene

Can’t tame this beast

From time to time

One feels the need

To try and work things out

But fate does not yield

Won’t put down her shield

Must deflect our pleas

Now is the time

To bring to light

Our united front

Enforce the good

Denounce all evil

Bring us to a time of peace

Show the world we are stronger

We do not fear and will not flinch

Face the challenge with grace

Our voice our legacy

For words do not wither

As would paper and stone

Upon entrance to the new world

We mustn’t forget the old one

Lest we let history repeat itself

Yet later should this chaos infect the land

We’ll march out with sword and shield

A warm smile and helping hand
