Grayscaled Eyes

With grayscaled eyes, and a monochrome heart, I can still, sing through the sadness, and waltz through the raindrops.

As clouds gather outside my window,

The sun turns gray, and the sky falls through a colorless glow

Tiny mirrors fall by my face,

And a glass floor forms around my feet

Every ripple echoes a memory

Every one of them asks,

Why I got out of bed at all?

It’s at every dawn I wonder,

How many times must my heart fold?

Tears grow cold

Fears grow old

Blur fills my sight,

Till' the night falls

Then, in this absence of light

I can't see at all

Even if I could,

It would all be gray

Like when dusk returns to my window

And another colorless day dawns

After another sleepless night

The morning fogs up the glass of my heart

My eyes are greyscaled‐

But somehow, I have to sing through the sadness

And waltz through the raindrops

About the Creator

JM

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
