i somehow missed the off ramp
and went hurtling into space
i left part of my mind way behind
at the thought of this gradual erase
.
i thought that i missed an important turn
my circles became finite, but not so out of place
i spiralled, screaming into the dark
as i began this gradual erase
..
how could i have missed these emotional flat lines
as they became the wrinkles on my face
i succumb as i slowly become
an integral part of this gradual erase
...
i now know i missed pretty much everything
i have seen my future, whittled to nary a trace
i stare out of these cold eyes and i know
i am my own gradual erase
....

Your gradual erase. I really liked that!
Do you embrace this phase?
Wow, the ending really hit me hard. The rest was very well written too!
I love this: "i succumb as i slowly become, an integral part of this gradual erase" - it was hard to pick a stand out line, because they all bear a re-read. Every line, every single word is doing a LOT of heavy lifting. Be really rpoud of this one. Also it rhymes! I love that!
i stare out of these cold eyes and i know i am my own gradual erase Powerful lines!! Great work 👌✨
