-*-

I saw you crying,

when you were saying "goodbye";

I was there by the corner,

packing things in my bag.

Everybody was leaving,

and you had to stay back;

after all, you were the stanchion,

keeping bodies on track.

-*-

I saw you crying,

buried hands in your back;

with a smile that reflected

nothing but real facts.

But I saw what you did,

and how you changed your mood;

You became solid rock,

I felt my hopes renewed.

-*-

Nothing beats your spirit,

not even something like this;

"I know little 'bout tomorrow...

...ignorance is bliss".

You caught me smiling,

and you smiled with me;

"hoping for the best",

is our next addressee.
