Golden Whispers in the Night

Prompt: What does the muse whisper to you?

By K.B. Silver Published 7 months ago • 1 min read

I lie in wait

for want of

precious

clarity

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

Sheer drapes

finally alight

with the golden

wind of invitation

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

Summoning

prompting me

to retake my

place at the page

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

It matters

not the time

nor pangs of

hunger streaking

my face

gaunt in the

blinking light

of the

witching-hour

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡‧

I sit

with all

alacrity

keys beneath

fiddly fingers

jumping and tapping

frantically

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

That mystical

resource

creativity

clouding up

around me

my muse

I am

breathing

you in

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

Expelling

great opaque

dream-clouds

filled with

stanzas and lines

ready to

portion out

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡

I dive in headfirst

swimming away

splashing around

in pools of letters

all day
