𝕘𝕠𝕝𝕕𝕖𝕟

The sun has risen

golden gossamer beams

shower down

on a dew-kissed earth

the tiny droplets sparkle

and as she catches them

in her sight

she smiles down

a swaddling warmth

after a cool night air

the sleepy earth wakes

a dragonfly dips and dives

and a little bee alights

on a beckoning flower

a breeze arrives

to convince the leaves and

Spanish moss to dance

like nobody's watching

the puffy white clouds

float by

as the pale sky

starts to don its

deep blueness

and it reminds me how i

never cared for blue

until i discovered

that i do

i'm startled back to present

by the chortled exuberance of

two Sandhill cranes

flying overhead

i could stay out here

all day

this is my world

Creation speaks to me

in this place where

caterpillars wander

seemingly aimlessly

as they seek the right spot

to metamorph into

a beautiful butterfly or

a magnificent moth

this is my place to

see

hear

adore

pray

know

when He made me in

Their image

it was to be

here and now

in this place

to see what He has done

for me

i don't have to speak

my sad

He sees it before i do

there's nothing that i can

say that He doesn't

already know

He wrote it into

my existence

shaped my heart

crafted my mind

sang into my soul

to set me in motion

the very One

the Truth, the Life, the Way

no-one comes to the Father

except through He

who was. Who is. Who will be

this my Father's world

and i get to see

the beauty in it because

the Son has risen.
