I found gold in the valley

hidden near the Roaring Fork riverbend,

and gold was all I could see

shining against the mountains.

I followed yellow aspens

through sharpened, rolling pine-

I have searched for ages,

and must make this gold mine.

I found gold in the valley

putting sunshine to shame;

I want to take you with me,

behold you along our way.

Gold, mine,

I have searched through time

Gold, be mine
