Gold

Duality of Beauty Reflected

Gold Calling

Nature’s First Green is Gold

I reflect dark night, opposite is the light-

Two faced in a still mirror and in a smooth pond.

I look for self, the Eye watching and I’m gold, golden, a ghost.

Every heart of gold is hungry.

Born under the high heat of summer, corn colored hair-

Supposed to be pretty, a beauty, golden girl made of mountain lion silk, sunset yellow, cracked egg yolk, long wheat hair, cut off, spilled everywhere.

With shining skin, dart of eye, I beg the words of Robert Frost, never die.

The dark is broken open by the light gold shining so bright.

All that glitters is alive but we say speed jive and don’t want to be alive.

We snort it up, fight to death, crave it every breath.

In the Yukon under snow and the dark evergreens will know,

A misfit night with lovers under moonlight waiting for the gold reflection of an eye, molten metal or light umber coyote eye.

I have a golden girl inside, soft heart of gold to hide.

Pulled from earth, ripped apart every golden heart

is hungry.

When we are hungry, greedy, gobbling gold, our reflection shows all yellow light, beauty, wild and free, giving carelessly.

I am gold, dark night soft light,

With a hungry heart of gold.
