Gold in the Hills

Finding it is so hard

By Alex H Mittelman Published about a year ago 1 min read

The miner says "there's gold in them there hills"

He needs the gold to pay his bills

To find the gold is very rare

And once gold is struck, the minor won't play fair

He'll keep all the gold for himself to buy a fancy new wagon

He'll then ride his horse to his fancy new mansion

The miner will buy everything he ever wanted

"That's if you can find gold," the other's miners taunted

"I'll show you," the miner shouted back

He told the others he was no hack

He hiked up the trail to get to the mountain

He swung his axe hoping for a gold fountain

He found a few gold nuggets which made him very happy

He at least had enough to get a gift for his pappy

Everyone is selfish. Everything needs to be gotten through labor. No one will feed another without purpose. Everyone keeps the gold they have gotten for themselves. Unless, being very charitable, they give a little bit of what they own.
