Sometimes I wonder where I'm going
And never look at where I've been
During these times, no pride I'm showing
Because of the damage from back then
These days of struggle can hurt so much
Yet in my heart I know
That even with doubt, fear, and such
A lesson in the end will show
My heart is breaking
My breathing becomes hard to take
"give up" they say while I'm aching
Because all that will be is a mistake
I scream, I cry, I wonder why god put me here today
And then I realize that through him I'm the storm that leads the way

Autumn House
Orange leaves gently swayed in a light breeze as twelve-year-old Chris Weaver walked down the dirt road. He kicked up dust as he mosied. The house at the end of the dirt road was red. It had a quaint porch, being swept by Granny Bloche. She wore simple attire: blue jeans and an ankle-length skirt. The orange sun was starting to set as Chris stepped onto the porch. ‘’Where am I?’’ Chris asked.
